About Frank Branker and the Houses for Sale Ottawa Website

I’m working to maintain this lead generation website from my home office at 76 Ryeburn Drive in Ottawa to bring more leads into my wife Sandi Branker’s real estate business.
My work involves organically creating and optimizing each market page so that each page has maximum online visibility! – This process is known as search engine optimization (SEO). Search engine optimization is a long game that takes a lot of effort over a long time, but with time, dedication, and attention to detail, you will see results.

My Work History is in Internet Technology.

Canadian Embassy Washington D.C.

I was a part of the Canadian Embassy’s Public Affairs team from 2006 to 2011 and held an integral role as a Web, e-Publications, and Technology Administrator.

My work at that department included developing content and design work for the primary Embassy website (can-am.gc.ca/washington), the Connect2Canada website (connect2canada.com), and the Department of National Defence outreach website in the U.S. (CanadianAlly.com).

My work included solving website coding issues and archiving problems. Moreover, I was the point person for my department’s multimedia equipment. This knowledge was essential for our many press conferences, official conference calls, and other Embassy briefings.

——–

From 29 August 2011 to 31 October 2013. I was employed by the Canadian Defense Liaison Staff Washington (CDLS (W)) as a member of the Information Systems (I.S.) team.

My duties were to assist in the conduct of the day-to-day operations of the I.S. and Helpdesk section, specifically client, website, and Blackberry administration. I also provided basic first and second-line I.T. desktop support for CDLS(W) staff and remote clients.

One of my main tasks was being the CDLS(W) subject matter expert (SME) on the VCDS group-developed website content management system, referred to as the Government Publishing System (GPS).

My role was instrumental in successfully providing administrative support to the 400+ service members deployed at various locations throughout the United States. This support was delivered via an Online Virtual Central Registry concept based on the GPS web services. It is made available on both the DWAN (Intranet) and our CDLS(W) External Portal (Internet).

Another aspect of my role as the SME of the GPS system is to provide training to the content providers on the proper use of the tool and to ensure that they adhere to the Common Look and Feel (CLF) requirements as dictated by Treasury Board regulations.

In addition, I was also involved in configuring and deploying workstation hardware and software, setting up and confirming connectivity of secure and non-secure VTC systems. Also, I worked on the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) account support and deployed 60 plus secure communication devices.

Industrial Security Sector (ISS)

I returned to Ottawa in November 2013. PWGSC ISS Outreach Division contracted me as a Casual employee web-coordinating officer from March to August 2014. The PWGSC Industrial security Sector (ISS) Outreach Division was tasked to update the Industrial Security Sector’s website content to meet the guidelines of the Treasury Board Secretariat’s accessibility and usability standards.
